Unable to Print from Internet Explorer
- Out of date printer device drivers.
- Lack permission to print to the device.
- Protected mode is enabled for Internet Explorer.
- Problem with the Temporary Folder used by IE.
- Use Windows Update to check for finding and installing the latest printer device driver.
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Update and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
- In the left pane, click Check for updates and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
- If Windows Updates reports no new updates available, it means most likely you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer.
- If you see a link that says optional updates are available. Click it. Select the driver you want to install, click OK and then click Install updates.
- First verify that you are logged on as an administrator, by changing the time of the computer. If you get a prompt asking for the password of an administrator you are not logged in as an administrator.
- If you are already logged in as an administrator, then the problem has nothing to do with your administrator privileges. Go to Step 3.
- If you are not logged in as an administrator, log out and then assuming you know the administrator name and password log in.
- Try print a web page. If you can then the problem has to do with your user profile credentials. If you cannot print, then go to Step 3.
- Click the Tools icon in Internet Explorer; Click the Security tab and uncheck the checkbox beside Enable Protected Mode.
- Click Apply and then click OK. Close all open Internet Explorer windows and then restart Internet Explorer.
- Try printing a page while running as the Administrator. If not successful, you need help from a certified technician.
