Microsoft Office Installation Error
- Issue with Microsoft Account services
- Cookies and internet browsing history
- Sign out of all of your Microsoft Accounts.
- Close all Internet Explorer or any other Browser you use.
- Open the browser and Go to http://account.live.com.
- If you see a sign-in page, you are already signed out of your Microsoft Account. Install Office again.
- If you see your account summary, you are signed in. Click Sign out.
- Try installing Office again. If this fails to correct the problem, continue on to the next step.
- Select Tools > Internet Options. See image: Tools > Internet Options.
- In the General tab under Browsing History choose Delete. See image: Browsing History > Delete.
- In the Delete menu, un-check Preserve Favorites Data and check Cookies and Website Data, then click Delete.
- Restart your browser and try installing again.
- If clearing your Cookies did not resolve the issue, go to Step 3.
- InPrivate Browsing helps prevent your browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and user names and passwords from being retained by the browser.
- To start an InPrivate Browsing session: Go to the Tools menu and select Safety > InPrivate Browsing. See image: InPrivate Browsing.
- Use the InPrivate Browsing window to install Office.
