- Some wireless routers for instance can be configured to not broadcast their SSID (their network identifier). In such a case unless you know the SSID you will not be able to connect to the wireless router.
- Methods for making Bluetooth device discoverable can vary widely depending on the device. If your device has a wireless switch, make sure it’s turned on. The switch could be on the front, back, or side and it could be small and unmarked.
- To connect to devices or PCs on a network, make sure Find devices and content in PC settings is turned on for the network you’re connected to.
- Turning on this setting prepares your PC for sharing files and devices on a network. It also automatically sets the appropriate firewall and security settings for the type of network that you connected to.
- Tap or click Network, tap or click Connections, and then tap or click your network connection. Turn on Find devices and content.
